7)Project Attributes- Describe the attributes of a project? What are your expectations as major stakeholders in this class(CIS1513)? What do you expect to get out of this class? What do you expect from your instructor, classmates, and yourself in order for this class to be a success?

Answer:
Due to the diversity of projects (either in size, shape or complexity), attributes help us further define them. Among these attributes we can assume that:

a) A project must have a unique purpose

b) A project must be temporary

c) Projects should be developed in increments

d) A project requires resources(people, hardware, software, and others), that limited most of the time, and       must be used effectively.

e) A project must have a primary sponsor or customer, who will provide a direction and funds for the               project.

f) A project yields uncertain results , and it is most of the time affected by external factors.

My expectation as one of the major stakeholder in this project is that this class follows the syllabus in a timely manner, and at the end of the term, students will be able to use this knowledge to work and manage projects.

My expectations  are to learn how to develop a project plan, understand how to execute a project plan, and manage project scope.

I expect from the instructor  and classmates, the same I expect from myself;  professionalism and dedication.

  1. Good explanation of the attributes of a project. My expectation from this class as a major stake holder is to gain the theoretical understanding of project management. Also by working on projects assignment with my classmates as team members, I will gain a little practical experience in managing personnel and project goals.
I expect from my professor guidance and advice regarding the project management class, clear and informative class room presentations. I expect my classmates and I to be punctual to class and complete all assignments and projects on time and present it to the professor. These expectations will give us a greater chance of completing the class with a passing grade and a general understanding of the concepts of Project management.

  2. at the end of this class I expect to be able to organize and manage a team to work in a project and to be a proactive team member. Project management class is very useful in our daily life to know how to work in team and be organized with time, costs, and expectations.
